# ISO 45001:2018 — Occupational Health & Safety

ISO 45001:2018 is the international standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OH&S). Its goal is to prevent work-related injury and ill health, and to provide safe and healthy workplaces.

## What is ISO 45001:2018?

The standard replaced OHSAS 18001 and shares the high-level structure of [ISO 9001](/en/standards/iso-9001) and [ISO 14001](/en/standards/iso-14001), making it easier to integrate into a single management system. It places strong emphasis on worker participation, top management leadership, and proactively identifying hazards.
