# AS9100D:2016 — Aerospace & Defense

AS9100D:2016 is the quality management standard for the aerospace, aviation and defense industries. It integrates the requirements of ISO 9001:2026 with additional demands that reflect what is at stake: the safety of people and the reliability of every component.

## What is AS9100D?

Published by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG), AS9100D includes all of [ISO 9001:2026](/en/standards/iso-9001) and adds sector-specific controls. Certifications are recorded in the OASIS database, which industry customers consult when evaluating their suppliers.
